Imagine the Impossible

Vests have never been my thing, but for some reason this one caught my eye so I dove in and gave it a whirl. First its not some giant puffy vest that feels like you just landing a plane in the middle of the ocean and its the only thing keeping you afloat. It’s streamlined and perfectly thick. What I mean by that is that it can be layered with another top piece with feeling like you are struggling for a breath. Even though it’s not super thick, it is very warm. I live in Alaska and wear it more than I should without washing it. Also coming from a guy that was born into the muffin top genetic pool its nice to hide those fellas when the confidence isn’t high for the day. Recently I wore it on a trip from Alaska to Roatan, Honduras. Sure it was too much in Honduras as the temps ranged in the 90’s with the humidity creating an instant sweat bath, but it was PERFECT for travel and easy to stow if it got too warm on the plane or if my one year old wanted to sleep on me (She’s a miniature heater). Between my Strato Tech Tee, Ponto Pants, and Topanga Vest I pretty much found the perfect travel combo. Also I am currently wearing it at work over a button up shirt and tie. Travel, relaxation, work. Vuori clothing is just a yes to all of the above. Washing it is my saddest part.

Priced properly / Well made, but delicate.

I’ve got about a dozen vests in this price range from Patagonia, arc, North Face And Helly Hansen. This article fits right in there with them. Unique pockets that enter from the top, as well as traditional hand warmer style. Very lightweight, warm and has a little room around the mid section. As in, not terribly tapered like a lot of vests in this category. I suggest trying on first if possible. I’m 5’10” / 195 and Large fits the way I wanted it to, minus the neck is too small to zip all the way up.

Beautiful Vest, Small Pockets

The design and look of the vest are awesome. Very stylish and comfortable. I wish it were just a touch longer and the pockets were a little bigger. Having a tough time getting my hands in and out for keys, phone, etc... For reference, I have a stocky athletic build I am 5-6 and weigh 165. Maybe, I should’ve went with a little larger size?

Excellent Vest

I live in Tampa, FL, the vest is great for early morning or late evenings in the low 60’s keeping the breeze off you from the ocean. Fits great but I usually wear a Large but Medium in this vest was perfect. I am 5’11, 185lbs, muscly and fit meaning I have a broad shoulders and and chest and Medium fits percent with a light weight shirt underneath. I would say the Vest runs just a little large unless you like a more relaxed fit then true to size. Great quality, nice inside pocket to store your wallet or cell phone and two outside packets. Not to warm the insulation used is perfect fo milder climates.
